Pritipaul Singh Investment Inc. came into existence on the 1st of September, 1999, when its management entered into a rental agreement for the aging facilities of the Guyana Fisheries Limited, located at Mc Doom, and established Mid Atlantic Seafoods.
The complex, which sits on 0.04 sq. km (9 acres) of land on the Eastern Bank of the Demerara River, was subsequently purchased by PSI Inc. in May, 2005. The company then acquired its second Production Plant by purchasing the former Georgetown Seafoods and Trading Company’s assets at Providence, East Bank Demerara and however, retained the trading name, Bee Gee, for the products.
PSI Inc. stands today thriving as an organization with two branches; Pritipaul Singh Investment Inc. Mid Atlantic Seafoods (Mc Doom Village) and Pritipaul Singh Investment Inc. Mid Atlantic Seafoods (Providence).
We are committed to exporting and distributing the highest quality and safest seafood that meets and exceeds customer and consumer expectations.
Mr. Pritipaul Singh is the founder and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of PSI Inc. He started as a small exporter of Seafood in 1991 and afterwards, however, purchased a Sawmill and later, a Gas Station. He subsequently refocused on Seafood and became a producer with the purchase of one steel hull trawler in 1996; and expanded with the purchase of ten more trawlers in 1997.
Mr. Singh is an untiring worker and a shrewd businessman with the vision and courage to make tough business decisions. He strives at all times to be the best and has been very successful in motivating his employees. He has been a good judge of character and has recruited very competent personnel to cater to the needs of the business and its valued customers.
Mr. Ronald Deen (1999 – 2015), the late Finance Director, was a self-taught, astute and successful businessman who was instrumental in the acquisition of finance for the development of all aspects of PSI Inc. He had credited some of his characteristics to his tough childhood and had been able to propel PSI Inc. to a higher level.
Mr. Deen had achieved the status of local representative for C. Phillip Jones and Company Limited; and in that position, he had facilitated financing for a number of businesses locally. He had met Mr. Singh in the late eighties and the two had developed an excellent and rewarding working relationship.
